Red Ball Hot Shots is an engaging tennis program designed for young children, utilizing a smaller court and specially designed red balls with 25% compression. These slightly larger, low-compression balls bounce lower, making it easier for kids to start rallying and develop their skills.
The Orange Ball classes use orange balls with 50% compression, allowing for a slightly higher bounce compared to the red balls. These classes are conducted on a larger court than the red court, providing a more challenging environment for players. Participants should already have the ability to rally over the net using appropriate grips.
The Green Ball classes use green balls with 75% compression, which bounce higher than the orange balls but lower than the yellow balls. These sessions take place on a full-sized court. Participants should be proficient in using appropriate grips for all strokes, including serves. Players should be capable of rallying, scoring, and moving efficiently around the court.
This class is designed for teenagers and players who are already competing at club level for the Ascot Vale Tennis Club or other local clubs. The main focus of these sessions is to teach players more about the tactics of tennis while reinforcing strong technical habits.
These classes are designed for players participating in competitions within the Northern Suburbs Junior Tennis Association. They are also ideal for those competing in local and interstate junior tournaments.
